While many people will say that working from home can make it difficult to concentrate, the benefits are numerous, making direct selling a more successful endeavor.
According to a recent article in The Eagle, a Texas newspaper, one of the major benefits of working from home is the fact that there are actually less distractions. While sneaking away from the computer to watch some television or heading out for an extended lunch may be tempting, these temptations can be far less distracting than a busy office, with people holding a variety of different conversations that are unlikely to be relevant to one's own work.
Still, Ed Slovacek, an accountant in Bryan, Texas, told the news source that even without these potential interruptions, it is important to stay on task and treat it as if one is still in the office.
"You've got to be disciplined to work during the work time... and also be able to cut it off and be gone when you're supposed to be gone," Slovacek explained.
According to a recent Virginia Gazette article, working from home is also becoming easier with the emergence of wireless internet and cloud computing, which can allow people to access important work documents through a home computer.
