IMN announces participation in Direct Sellers Association Summer Summit 2012

With the Direct Sellers Association gearing up for its Summer Summit 2012, to be held in Ontario June 24-26, digital marketing company IMN announced its participation in the summit in a press release out June 18.

IMN’s Michelle Larter will be moderating the “Social Media: Connecting the Dots with Direct Sales” panel aimed at informing direct sellers on implementing social media in an effort to “further direct selling success.” The panel will be made up of experienced executives: Diane Nopenz, vice president of sales at Jockey Person to Person; and Tonia Jahshan, founder of Steeped Tea.

The panel is set to discuss a handful of topics including the driving forces that impel customer social media engagement, what social media means to Gen Y customers, a discussion of strategies for effective social media content engagement, and first-hand accounts from panel members detailing their social media use as “an effective tool to build one-to-one relationships and impact revenue.”

Other useful teaching and training sessions that will be offered at the DSA summit include presentations on mobile marketing, spurring growth through stronger managerial relationships with sales force, online recruiting, and productivity in the field. The upcoming summit should provide a forum for the DSA to continue its philosophy of “preserving the integrity of the direct selling industry” by providing its member companies with support, and educating “the public on the benefits of direct selling.”
