Direct selling has a number of advantages for professionals, as it typically allows them to be their own bosses and work from home, which can keep their working and personal lives balanced.
Perhaps one of the most important advantages of a career in direct sales is the ability to have a flexible schedule, which can prove beneficial for the individuals as well as the company whose products they're selling.
Flexible schedules are the dreams of many working Americans, as they enable people to work when they want to and find time for the other important things in life, including spending time with their children.
According to a recent study undertaken by researchers at Baylor University in Texas, flexible work schedules can be particularly helpful for women who have just given birth, HealthDay reports.
"When working moms are better able to control their work environment and adapt, work-related stress is less likely to become a family issue," study author Dawn S. Carlson, a management professor at the university, said in a release.
As such, direct sales is becoming an increasingly appealing profession for new mothers, offering this flexibility along with a stable income.
