 PayDay Update: The 10th of the month
Instead of having to check your calendar to figure out where the second Friday falls each month, we thought we’d make things a little easier for you. Beginning this Monday, Viridian’s monthly payday will be on the 10th of every month. If the 10th of the month falls on a weekend, payday will be on the preceding Friday.

Power Story: U.S. renewable energy market showing unexpected growth in 2011

More than 33% of new power produced in 2010 was renewable. This unexpected growth is indicative of what trends have been pointing to: the future of energy generation is in renewables. At a recent industry convention, generators agreed that 2010’s growth has surged remarkably in 2011 so far, showing that Americans are shifting their ideas on energy.

 Customer Enrollment: Zero Tolerance
True or false: If a customer asks you take their bill and sign up for them, you can do it.
Answer? False.
In fact, doing so is considered “slamming,” which is a zero-tolerance compliance violation for Viridian Associates. Customers must always be the only person to agree to the terms of their service and must complete the entire enrollment themselves. This ensures the customer clearly understands the terms of their service, which will lead to greater customer satisfaction and retention, and will also serve to maintain cooperative relationships in our industry between suppliers, customers and regulators.

 Chicago Sustainability Event: Saturday October 15
Join us next Saturday October 15 for our first official sustainability event in Chicago. We’ll be planting and gardening at the Whittier School’s community gardens from 10 am to noon.
