January is the final month to qualify for the March Sustainability Trip to Brazil. We are thrilled to announce the list of qualifiers who will join us in the Amazon this Spring. If you aren’t eligible this year, set a goal now to be with us for 2012's trip!
Winter Clothing Drive: We’re still collecting!
You may have cleaned out your closet, but the next step is actually getting your bag of clothes out of the house. If you can’t bring your stuff to one of the drop-off points below, you can join the spirit of the clothing drive by donating to your closest shelter. Take a picture or share the name and location of your shelter for us to publish next week. Email to sustainability@viridian.com.

State of the Union Address
President Obama’s annual State of the Union address, delivered on Tuesday January 25, had a very strong renewable energy message. This year’s budget to congress will ambitiously address renewable energy development:
“We’ll invest in biomedical research, information technology, and especially clean energy technology – an investment that will strengthen our security, protect our planet, and create countless new jobs for our people.”
The President also set a huge goal for all of us to reach for - 80% Renewable Energy by 2035. This message is not only a very powerful tool for you to use to market renewable energy, it also confirms that you are part of the next big economy and policy-driven national movement. Our whirlwind three-cities-in-three-weeks regional training tour has finally wrapped up. Jersey City was the perfect destination to end our inspiring road show: We had a huge turn out in a beautiful venue overlooking the Hudson River, with our sights set on the Big Apple!
