Viridian's Culture of Compliance

Viridian has always treated marketing compliance with high importance. Recent industry scrutiny has motivated us to take an even stronger stance and reexamine the methods we use to educate our Associates on compliance. Many compliance violations are not made intentionally, so we have decided to implement a more comprehensive, cross-functional approach to prevent these errors from happening in the first place. The new policies serve to not only educate our Associates, but also to demonstrate to us that you understand and abide by the policies.


THE NEW COMPLIANCE POLICIES INCLUDE:

Momentum Required training and testing
for commission eligibility:

Each Associate will have to complete and pass regular training and testing to be eligible for commission. This platform will launch by April 2011.

Moving forward, the first page of the Associate starter kit will be all about compliance to ensure that each new Associate understands the importance of marketing compliance to their business.

Implementation of Associate Compliance Council:
Viridian has appointed a council of Associates devoted to the promotion and maintenance of marketing compliance in the field. The officers will be available for your compliance questions and will liaise between corporate and the field to ensure that our policies are always in line with your best interests.

Viridian is implementing new operational policies, including IP address tracking, email verification, random enrollment audits and outbound calls to customers, to ensure that all new enrollments are compliant.

Viridian already offers a host of marketing materials for your use and purchase - and we are adding more! Going forward, all marketing materials must be created by corporate, allowing us to control the content while giving you options to personalize. We are expanding our suite of marketing materials to ensure that every flyer, postcard and business card is consistent in its look and messaging. Watch for complete details on a new suite of tools next week.

February Rates: TURN ON THE SAVINGS!

The February rate sheet and updated historical rate sheets are available in your Back Office and on liveviridian. Even better news: we have decided to make the 10% discount for new customers part of our standard pricing, making it even easier for you to enroll customers for affordable, green energy. PSE&G Residential Heating Rates

Certain PSE&G residential customers receive a special Residential Heating rate which appears as RHS on their bill, instead of RS for the standard Residential Rate. This rate, which is in the process of elimination, was part of a unique legacy policy and is much lower than the standard PSE&G rates you see listed on our rate chart. Customers on this rate should be advised that they will not experience savings with Viridian during the winter.

Back Office Customer Counts

You may have noticed that your customer counts fluctuate at the end of the month. This is due to commissions and utility payment records processing, which temporarily changes the customer's status and your customer count. You can expect these changes each month—we apologize for any confusion.
