Dear Fellow Viridian Associates:
I can’t believe it’s been almost six months since PowerUP! 2012 in Atlantic City. Not only did the event create a huge buzz, but that buzz is propelled us into 2013—which has been incredibly strong already. You might think the momentum would wear off after a while, but that's not how this business works. Network marketing has a snowball effect when done right. Think about it … more than 1,000 Associates got to see the big picture at PowerUP! 2012 in September and ever since then they have been talking to others and letting people know this is real. Very real. This is one reason why we are growing so fast.
One thing I took away from last year’s event was a line from one of our guest speakers, John Fleming. He made me think about who is out there waiting. He said something like, "Someone went to bed last night hoping, praying to hear from YOU.” This is so true. There are so many good and talented people out there in a malaise. Just moping through life worried about their financial future and we actually have a solution.
My take? Please do not hold back and not show the video because you pre-judged someone. Even if you think they would not be good at the business or that they are so overly successful that they don't need to see it, just sit with them and show our business plan video. Who are we to judge? Who are we to be lazy or shy and not show it and prevent someone from changing his or her life, and the lives of so many others?
2013 is going to be a record-breaking year for so many. For the past three years, Viridian has almost been in a pre-launch phase and starting this spring—with the new compensation plan and technology software— we're all going to see a very positive effect on our businesses. You cannot miss the chance to come to PowerUP! 2013. It will be just what you need to fuel your momentum for next year. Now is the time to build your teams to reap those rewards. Trust me; I know.
Dear Fellow Viridian Associates:
To me, PowerUP! has always been about getting a large group of like-minded, positive-thinking people together in order to build belief and commitment in what Viridian is all about.
There's way too much negativity all around us in our daily lives. People are always telling us that what we’re doing wont work, or that nobody makes any money in the direct selling space. I’m tired of hearing it.
Among its many positive attributes, PowerUP! motivates and encourages us all to know that this does work, and we can make a real difference for our families as we build a recession-proof residual income stream.
What I loved about Power UP! last year was seeing individuals who were fully committed after last year’s convention make it on stage to enjoy their moment of recognition. Seeing up-and-coming stars developing into future Ambassadors is what makes this business so fulfilling, and helping them achieve their goals is what this is all about.
With a new Back Office and more lucrative compensation plan coming out, the real momentum is about to begin. You won’t want to miss PowerUP! 2013.
**Directors Scott and Melissa Epstein are certainly a couple to watch. The power couple from New Jersey is quickly making their faces known at major corporate events, particularly the Super Regional events as the husband and wife attended the Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland and New York regionals. Below, they recount their experience.**
January is the time for new goals, new inspirations, new commitments and new dreams about what this new year can be. One thing we’ve learned over the years is that a vision without support, motivation and doing the do is simply a wish. One of the best ways to help make a wish become a reality is to surround yourself with like-minded people—people that have a vision and are willing to do whatever it takes to hit their goals and to not shrink their dreams!
Viridian created a platform in January that allowed people to jump-start their 2013 journey. The company offered a wave of Super Regional training events that extended from Washington, DC, to Illinois to New Jersey to New York and to Massachusetts. We are serious about our Viridian business and about taking it to the next level, so we knew attending at least one Super Regional was mandatory.
Fortunately, we are a husband/wife team and we are both very active in our Viridian business. One of the benefits to working the business with your spouse is supporting each other around attending events especially when you have children involved. With three small children at home, it’s hard to always be able to attend every event together. However, if we know certain people on our team will be at events, then we will support each other in attending. We know how powerful meetings and large events are and one of us always makes sure to get there.
The wealth of knowledge we received at the multiple events we attended is priceless. Learning from the top leaders and getting trained on the how-tos of working this business and being surrounded by so many amazing people in a room full of positive energy definitely fueled our engines. Already, 2013 is shaping up to be a spectacular year! In addition to the knowledge we gained, our belief in Viridian grew; the company’s dedication to making sure the Associates have the tools to win is unwavering and the corporate team is always taking it up a notch and for that we thank them.
The Super Regionals also gave us the opportunity to bond with our fellow Associates… downteam, crossteam, upteam and everything in between! We are so grateful for all the friendships we’ve made because of Viridian. We would have never met some of our closest friends if it wasn’t for this opportunity.
Viridian has certainly created something special. It’s not just about the service we provide; it’s about the journey, the experiences and the people we’ve met along the way and the everlasting impact they have made on our lives. It has helped us become the people we want to be for our children, families, friends and community.
**Viridian Associate Richard Herdrich was one of hundreds of Associates who attended a January Super Regional—five events that were awe-inspiring and filled with exciting, critical 2013 announcements. Below, the Senior Director recounts firsthand his experience at the Illinois regional, which took place Saturday, Jan. 26.**
I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Illinois Super Regional in Oakbrook—just outside the city of Chicago—which was attended by more than 250 Illinois Associates and guests. Having corporate leader SVP of Viridian Network Meredith Berkich and field leaders Ambassador Bob Quintana and Platinum Partner John Pyonteck fly in to impart their immense knowledge and excellence to Generation V, was truly inspirational to say the least. Bob emceed an important event that will be remembered as a "difference maker" in the lives and direction of Illinois Viridian Associates.
Personally, one of the most special moments of the Super Regional was seeing firsthand the growth of Viridian, particularly as many Associates worked together to produce an event to be remembered. A highlight was when Executive Associate Preston Kendall demonstrated his persistence and determination on stage with Director Matt Johnson. These two charismatic Associates discussed the Duplic8 Process and how to share and spread the Viridian opportunity with others. Illinois Senior Director Jason Wolkow was outstanding thanks to his directness, professorial explanations and quotes based on his research of Viridian and this profession. Senior Director Lauren Leifer—who we all know and love—showed her extreme passion for everything green and sustainable with her proclamation, "Sustainability equals profitability!"
I also had the greatest of pleasures telling my story of the first time I met Joe O. At the regional, Joe "O" spoke so eloquently about the Viridian opportunity as only he can; for many, it was the first time they got to hear from him in person. I had the opportunity to hear from Joe O just after the Illinois launch in July of 2011. He gave an incredible talk on the simplicity of Viridian with statements like: "Did you know you can now choose where your energy comes from?" and "Do you recycle?" After the meeting I saddled up to him and rather sheepishly asked, "Is my attendance at the yearly PowerUP! convention really that important?" He looked directly in my eyes and asked, "Are you serious about this business opportunity?" I emphatically replied "YES!" (What would you say if he asked you.....) And I will always remember his reply: “Then it will be the biggest decision of your life. Big decisions are made at big events."
I am a believer... My name is Richard C Herdrich Jr. and I am Generation V.
