Earth Month 2012
Friday Power Story
By Meredith Berkich, Vice President of Viridian Network
I smiled all day on Saturday in Chicago. I am still smiling. For years Iíve heard corporate suits say with great swagger ďIíd rather have a C-Idea and an A-Team instead of an A-Idea and a C-Team.Ē Well now, as a corporate executive I say for the record: ďIíd rather have an A-Idea and an A-Team.Ē Period. And that is EXACTLY what we have here at Viridian.
Life is made up of many chapters with all types of themes and characters within the pagesówhimsy, discovery, adventure, romance, drama, tragedy; you get my drift. Occasionally there are some very special parts that, from the moment you turn the page (or now tap the screen), cause you to sit up straight and scoot to the edge of your seat. With eyes wide open you focus your attention, eager to see whatís coming up next with the knowledge that, although you donít know the details, something exciting Ė really exciting Ė is happening.
Thatís how I felt on Saturday in Chicago, watching the Viridian corporate and field A-Teams. Anyone who knows me knows my passion for the network marketing industry and profession. My belief in what this vehicle can do for regular people is positively unshakable. Now with the deregulation of energy and the marriage between the two, belief is off the charts. Bring in sustainability, collective impact, and affordable green energy and youíve got an A-Idea. No, not just an A-Idea: an A+++ Idea! Listening to the teams, both corporate and field, as they shared their brilliance, their convictions, and their hearts that weekend equals an A-Team. No, not just an A-Team: an A+++ Team! I am still smiling.
Big decisions happen at big events in general. But when A+++ Ideas merge with A+++ Teams at big events, the ground shakes, the earth moves, and every person in the room sits electrified on the edge of their seats, fully realizing they are in the middle of a granddaddy of a story. They also know, for certain, that itís not just any part of the story but one of the really, really good chapters. I got a text from a field leader right after the event and it read: ďWe are destined to help a lot of people. A LOT! This is so bigÖĒ
So here I sit, on the edge of my seat, convinced there has never been a more right time and place for me to be, and for all of you as well who are brave enough to dream of rising above the status quo while demanding more out of life than you are currently experiencing.
In less than two months we will all be together at PowerUP! If you donít have your ticket, buy one today. Seriously, today. On second thought, buy a five-pack and commit to bring four people with you, even if you donít know at this moment who they will be. You will see and believe the A+++-Idea. You will see and be the A+++-Team. You will look back on this chapter of your life smiling, with no regrets.
My name is Meredith Berkich. And I am, Generation V.
Everyone on the corporate team has been hard at work this summer to ensure that PowerUP! 2011 is the best event in Viridianís history. If you havenít yet made plans to join us in Philadelphia, you really ought to do so.
There has been a lot of talk in recent months about our new unified system, and itís at PowerUP! where weíll fill you in on the particulars. We know youíre anxious to make your business even stronger, and weíre certain the work our field leaders have done in this area will be most impressive, and welcome.
We often talk about Viridianís five core beliefs: Industry, Company, Product, Team and Self. Without strong faith in all five of those, your success might waiver. Itís our hope that this new unified system, along with your attendance and participation at PowerUP!, will help reinforce and enable these beliefs for you.
Itís also worth mentioning that in your day-to-day business, you can sometimes feel disconnected, and thatís another reason why we hold our annual convention. Itís to bring everyone together, to help you connect a name with a face, to meet the leadership teams and hear whatís been going on, and what their plans are going forward. Emails and conference calls can only do so much, but the best interactions take place face-to-face, when you can actually talk with someone who shares your same concerns, problems, hopes and dreams.
Thatís why I urge you to register TODAY, and to plan NOW to join us in Philadelphia for PowerUP! 2011. With the rollout of the new unified system, explaining what weíll be doing on our coming trip to Africa, and our other exciting new incentive programs, we promise you a three-day event that will energize you and your team, give your business a needed boost, and help set the stage for another great year!
Iím looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible at PowerUP, and urge you to commit NOW to join us as we share our plans for the rest of 2011 Ö and beyond.
