Terrie Walker Inducted into Millionaire’s Circle
Terrie Walker first joined Viridian Energy on Sep. 17, 2009, a date that she says she remembers as if it were her birthday. She was introduced to the business by her niece, Jenna Marzullo-Stockwell, who was not only the first Viridian Associate, but also the first woman to be inducted into the Millionaire’s Circle. The Viridian business has evolved into a family affair for Terrie, as she’s had 14 family members involved as Viridian Associates, including her father who is now 91 and still recruiting customers and Associates.
Terrie hails from Winsted, Conn. where she attended Northwestern Connecticut Community College. She and her husband, Peter, are the proud parents of Tyler, Adam and Cory and the grandparents of three. Before launching her Viridian business, Terrie built a career as an accomplished business manager and was the recipient of the Junior Achievement First Place National Accounting Award.
She’s had a decorated career with Viridian, having been a GenV Award Winner, Integrity Award Winner, served as a member of the Associate Leadership Council for three years and been a Top 10 Income Earner for the past five years. If you ask Terrie, however, the greatest reward has been her personal growth and helping the environment.
“The monetary gain is just a measurement of how much we’ve supported our mission,” says Terrie. “The more money we make, the more we lower carbon emissions.”
According to Terrie, Viridian may be a network marketing company on paper, but at its heart it’s about relationships and personal development. Being able to give back and help others has allowed her to grow personally and professionally.
“There’s a saying, ‘Rising tides lifts all ships,’” she says. “This job is about helping others. Our success is based on the success of others. Once you realize that you see how significant this company is.”
Her success has earned her many incentive trips, including Turks and Caicos, Bermuda and Aruba. The greatest trips, according to Terrie, were the sustainability initiatives. She’s been on five 7 Continents in 7 Years (7C7Y) trips, which deliver a sustainability project to a different continent each year. To date, Terrie’s visited Brazil, Africa, Indonesia, Fiji and Nicaragua with Viridian. The experiences were life changing.
“These trips elevated my gratitude for what we have,” she says. “I always thought a shower was a necessity, but it’s not: It’s a luxury.”
Despite how far she’s come, Terrie remains driven, committed and continues to look toward the future. She is determined to share the Viridian opportunity with others and make strides toward creating a more sustainable future.
“After all,” she says. “We only have one earth.”
