A Changed Man for the Better, Forever

First off thank you Michael Fallquist for an amazing time and experience, this trip was so special on so many different levels. To have the opportunity to make such a major impact on a community has made me a changed man for the better, forever.

I will never forget how happy the people of Platanal were to see us. As we came up the dusty road we could see the community ahead awaiting our arrival–both groups, ours and theirs—anticipated this moment for months and it was now here. They welcomed us with fireworks, handshakes, smiles and an expression of gratitude you rarely see or feel. The joy around us put me in a state of euphoria. I caught a glimpse of our top income earners engaging with the people and I instantly knew these are the people I want to work and grow with for the rest of my life. As the days went on I watched our Founder and CEO Michael Fallquist lead us in getting this project completed. He was one of the first ones up and ready in the morning and the last to lay down, even on a broken cot! This trip had such an impact on me; I left Nicaragua a better man and it truly changed the way I think. I will teach my children how blessed we are to live in the United States.

The best part of the trip was developing new relationships with others. It’s an experience we will all remember and we now have a special bond that is ours forever. I can’t wait to help others win and experience this special opportunity that our one-of-a-kind company offers!

My name is Chris Galli and I am Generation V.

In March 2015, Viridian traveled to the breathtakingly beautiful and still mostly undeveloped “Land of Lakes and Volcanoes.” To complete our most ambitious project to date, we hiked to the small agricultural community of Portrero Platanal, an off-the-grid village that’s inaccessible by car. With the help of the nonprofit organization GRID Alternatives, we were able to install clean, reliable solar systems on the homes of 40 families, bringing the opportunity for a better life to an entire community.
